Hi, have you given the MAF a clean? it's held in the induction tube with two screws, it's a simple job to remove, clean and put back.

Here's a PDF. document on how to do it, don't worry, it's an easy job!

I think you've answered your own question, had you mentioned that you'd replaced the MAF in the initial post, I would have suggested doing a 'hard reset' - your engine control module is probably still running an engine map based on the original MAF. It doesn't know you replaced the MAF so it's throwing these codes, after the reset, clear the codes and see if they come back.....

I have read about disconecting the battery terminals and touching the terminals together to reboot the system, for a hard reset, which i have done, the codes coming up this time are, P0355 ignition coil e-primary secondry circuit, P1646 manufactors controls, and still saying restricted performance, Any idea or help please !!!!, thanks loblue

OK, so the P0112 and P0102 have gone, but now you have P0355 and P1646. Personally I go with another reboot!

Have you done anything else we should know about apart from change the MAF sensor and air filter? was there a reason that you changed them? any symptoms before you did the swap? As you can tell, the more information you can give us, the more we can help on suggesting a fix....

Default Hi Sean B

when we first start the car for the first 10 to 15 mins car is okay, after that the light comes on saying restricted performance, if i try and go above 3000 revs car pulls back, if i ease of the throttle and keep it below 3000 revs i pick speed slowly. and the light and message still stays on, we have put a new filter and the MAFS, we have put fuel injector cleaner in, when the car is stationary it Juggers, Thanks Cathie

Angry Rotten P1646 code!!!, XJR 2000

Can anyone shed any light on this situation… I keep getting a P1646.This is the only code. I have over the past year replaced all of the O2 sensors & knock sensors. The check engine light will not go off. We have tried swiping out computers & sensors from other like cars and it still will not go off. Once reset, it will stay off for a while then after 1-2 starts, it comes back on. We’ve also tried disconnecting the battery as well. I’m at a loss…..

Please share your thoughts.
