I'm new here so here goes...

Just bought a 1999 VDP (my first Jag - a lifetime dream) which had lots of issues, some of which I have worked out. Two major probs remain. The car runs beautifully with silky smooth shifts UNTIL I try to use the "manual" shift feature. It immediately goes into 4th, shows restricted performace and transmission fault. It clears when the car is restarted. Any ideas?

The second issue is a mystery. The driver's (left) front window sometimes works but most of the time doesn't. A faint click is heard while trying to use the window. The mystery is that at the same time the sunroof works but within three or four seconds of the switch being released, it closes on its own. When the driver's window works, the sunroof works normally. Any thoughts?
