XJR Chain Tensioners?

When did the plastic tensioners change to metal? Have any of you had a dealer change plastic to metal? How much did it cost?

Tensioners didn't appear "officialy" until the 4.2l (2004 up).
Gen 1 and 2 are plastic. Some say that their late 2003's had Gen 3's, but most likely if it is a 4.0L V8 it has, at best Gen 2 (if original)
