Default XJR Please help

I am getting a constant warning light "BATTER NOT CHARGING"
The alternator is putting out 14.2 volts. I have a new battery.

Is there another Cause for this? Or can you tell me how to reset
the light?

Thank you

If you disconnect the negative battery terminal for at least 30 seconds, it should clear the code.

Perhaps you should take it back to where you bought the battery, or at least, a local AP store. Their diagnostic equipment will tell you in a minute what is wrong.
