XJR Rides Like a Skateboard
Hello, I am new to the forum. I just purchased a '02 XJR and it rides like a skateboard, nothing like my '03 XJ8. I discovered that the suspension module was disconnected, no error codes were displayed ??. I purchased a good module, thinking the module was bad. Neither the front end or rear end budge when I sit on it. How can I test to see if the shocks are any good. Do you recommend staying with the CATS suspension or converting to standard Bilsteins. Thank you for your time..
In at the deepend with that question.
A) The CATS equipped cars default setting is HARD when the module is disconnected, so that's the cause.
B) A replacement module has to be 'paired' with your car as they're year/VCATS/VIN related. This means a replacement still has to go through a reprogram with Jaguar software in the forum of IDS/WDS or Autologic. Try and locate a local indy specialist to carry this out. They are not plug and play unfortunately.

I am running on Michelin Pilot Sport, 28 psi front and 30 psi rear. As Sean said the suspension module needs to be paired with the car. Goes in the shop tomorrow for programming.I hope the A.D.C. shocks or not locked up.....
