Default XJR Supercharger snout removal

ok so I need to remove the front snout for an upgraded snout fitted with a 10% pulley. I have read that the supercharger has to be removed to do this! seams a lot of work and was wondering why it can not be removed with supercharger still fitted? looking at the exchange snout in the box all the mounting bolt holes look straight forward to get at so what am I missing? what stops it coming off in situ?

The bottom holes are inaccessible with the SC in the car.

It's really not too bad to remove using the PDFs from here (I see you posted there):

Plus while it's off, you can throw a few bucks ($91) and almost completely rebuild it:

I've used that exact kit on my car.

My dad took my SC snout to work and turned it down nicely on a lathe so I was able to press on my 10% pulley with ease. He took it down to where there was a bit less than a 2mm diameter difference between OD of snout and ID of pulley, so about 1mm gap between the pulley and snout all around. I was able to reuse my SC Belt.

I also recommend doing bearings in the accessory and sc belt drive pulleys. It's the same bearing in all 4 (SC tensioner pulley, SC idler, Acc tensioner pulley, Acc idler) and nice cheap and easy to do.

Like your Esprit, these cars REALLY benefit from doing "while you're there jobs". I'm hugely partial and have looked for a while at getting a Steven's Esprit, probably a Turbo SE/S4/S4S. Cool cars!
