1999 xjsport 3.2 - fails to start

Previous history of bore wash... done it 3 times and fixed with oil squirt in cylinder, turn over a couple of revolutions, plugs in, fires up rough then smooths out

Just around Christmas - was starting roughly but running. Then it wouldn't start. I thought bore wash again but left it as it is left outside (v cold and nasty here in Sweden over Christmas...)

A few weeks back I tried the bore wash fix - no joy. Noticed plugs were not soaked...

Checked fuel rail schraeder - only a dribble after cranking the starter...

Replaced fuel filter (WTF designers??? why put that there???)

Cranked didn't start but popped and farted a bit like it was going to, so checked fuel rail schraeder and got a reasonable squirt...

Turned to ignition on and listened...

Sounds like fuel pump primes up - but could hear throttle body whining/chattering to itself...

Took off all connections - noise stops

Cleaned connections, sounds ok on prime up sequence

Tried starting, just a tiny flutter of a fart then nothing...

Tried foot flat to the floor sequence - nothing.....

If any one can help with suggestions of diagnoses I would appreciate it...

Otherwise I think it will get scrapped (or at least make the back seat into a garage chill couch and stick the 18"s on my 89 chevy van...)

How cold was it? We had a rash of frozen fuel lines here in the States this last Winter. Wouldn't spending a couple bucks at the dealer be better than scrapping it?

Still, sounds like fuel pump or Throttle body.
