hello Jag owners. Help!!
2001 Xj8L, stuck in park. Also, remotes are inoperable, passenger windows won't roll down, memory seats do nothing, and the steering wheel won't extend. Hard reset does nothing. Can someone point me to the correct fuse or module? All fuses in rear heelboard box appear good.

Too many things going wrong. I would start at battery. If it doesn't show 12.6 volts the electronics start to do weird things. Next would be ground points.

 

Could be the little transmission linkage bolts. Mine fell out last week and rendered the car inoperable as you describe.

Aye, aye. Testing battery Correction: tilt wheel works, door locks, electric windows and turn signals out, trunk electronic lock non functional - and the "stuck in park" thing.

 

Battery at 12.45 volts.

 

I can bypass the trans interlock and drive the car. Door key lock will roll down driver's window only. map lights work, radio works. A/c works. Blinkers, windows, trunk switch,door lock dash button and memory seats non functional. Worked great yesterday. Checked all fuses in trunk box, all ok. did another hard reset, no joy.

 

Have you had a look at the wiring diagrams for a common earth? Ground points on these are notorious.
