Default 1989 "Majestic" VDP

OK, another newbie here, I bought this car from a repair facility in Denver. It is a Majestic, what does this mean? My car has flip down trays in the back of the front seats, is this standard? I Google'd and did not find anything definitive. I am considering not saving this car, if it's a 'special' I might continue the project.

Thanks for any advice.

The Majestic was a special trim option.

Thanks for the info, one site I found on Google said it was a very low production? Still trying to decide what to do. I have to go to Denver and get it and bring it back to MN before the snow flies....

It should be as rare as hen's tooth . I knew Majestic only for the long wheelbase as well as heigher versions

VIN vindicates that , for Jaguar VIN is like that
SAJXXX , but your situation is tricky on my part because your ride is equal to Daimler but no Daimler in the US and Daimlers differ in the VIN (SAJDXXXX)
You better pm your VIN or write off so that we can have a verdict in your case
Hope this helps

According to this it is not. Sounds like they all were black cherry... Ours is platinum color and no accent piping on the seats. It does have the leather shift and light steering wheel like the it says.

Oh well, my wife still thinks the car looks majestic even if it's not a Majestic

Well if it's a majestic it's been repainted in the wrong color.

89-90 Majestics were red, I seem to think it was Flamenco Red, with cream interiors, they had BBS-Style wheels with infill between the spokes to match the car's color.

The decklid Badges said "Vanden Plas" on the left side of the license plate and "Majestic" on the right.

92s were Black Cherry (Morocco Red) with cream interiors.
