Default 1990 VNPL Majestic - Need to replace key fob. What are my options?

So I never got the fob for my car when i bought it and after replacing the battery now the systems trying to sync with fob and lights flashe when the vehicles off. So here's what I wanna find out,

Is it possible for me to buy a aftermarket fob on online and program it to work with my car? Price range?

Can places other than the dealership fix this for me? Price range?

Or is going to the dealership my only option? Price range?

Im trying to find the least expensive way i can do this. Thanks guys any info helps.

Look for an OEM fob on eBay and program it to your car.

There are two different systems make sure you get the type your car uses, later fobs won't work AFAIK

1990 car will have an IR keyfob, pretty much impossible to get a replacement fob now, plus you'd need to match and solder key sequence. It is however possible to fit in an aftermarket RF keyfob easily, plug is under center console and you can manually operate it to check if central locking still works and if it does you plug in any kit from ebay into it and it will work fine.

Default Thank you guys!

Thanks so much for the responses, aftermarket was what I was hoping for. I'll do some research and I can finally get this issue resolved.
