1990 XJ wipers won't stop

1990 XJ wipers won't stop
The strangest thing started happening. When I turn my wipers on they will not shut off. Even if I shut the car off and remove the keys they still are on. Only after about a minute of wiping back and forth do they finally stop. Anyone herd of this before and know of a fix?

your fault is most likely due to the park switch in the wiper motor being o/c
its just a microswitch under the cover of the motor secured by three screws
some dealers still can get them but i"d check around with the jaguar independant shops first
i"d guess 30.00 or so
