Hi all, I recently bought a 1994 Jaguar XJ12 as a project car, and when starting work on it, I found it was the long wheelbase version of the vehicle. It’s left hand drive and from what I could find online it’s the only one. It has the square headlights, 6.0L V12 (obviously), optional sunvisors, and things of that nature. If this is truly a one-off vehicle, what would it be worth? I wouldn’t want to have the responsibility of having the only one of such a vehicle in the world, do you guys have any info on if this is the case? Any information helps! Thanks for your time.

 

Most of the v12 xj40s were long wheel base models. Swb combined with v12 is more rare. Also, most were left hand drive.

So you definitely dont have the only one.

That is not correct! According to my data only 121 XJ81 with long wheelbase and higher roof (='Majestic') were built, 28 of which were left hand drive. The long wheelbase became more common with the X300 (X305), for some markets it was only offered with long wheelbase.

Anyway a LWB XJ81 is not much more desired than a normal one, some say the higher roof line makes it look awkward.
