Thanks for help. But I am selling. Just can't deal with it anymore. Its in the private for sale section. Went out today and check engine light came on. FF39. Disconnected battery to reset light. After reconnecting battery, NONE of my idiot lights or gauges came on. Have no idea!!!! But everthing else (heater Hdlights, etc. working. Just no gauges or idiot lights. Anyway can't afford to have egr worked on and due to health, can't do it myself. Any experts on this car, I would like to talk over phone call. Might help with answers to questions "to many" for here. Located in Virginia 540 290 0686 Thanx in advance!!!

 

Give the speedo binnacle a thump on the top - sometimes the gauges will light up (bad connection)

Cars that sit often have electrical connection issues - a lot of issues (not all BTW) can be corrected by simply unplugging and re-plugging the connectors.

Cleaning connections doesn't hurt either.

Pulled fuse for instrument cluster and re-inserted. dash brd idiot lights and gauges came back!! some stress off. Now to figure out the egr. Talked to Jag dealer-not much help.No knowledge of older Jags. Talked to local and he daid its the tepm part of egr and just needs cleaned out or MAYBE egr needs replaced.
