94 XJ-12 suddenly No spark HELP!

Hello, I have a 94 XJ-12 and all of the sudden it wouldn't start. I tried some starting fluid and still not even a slight jump of the engine so I'm thinking it has no spark. tested all fuses OK. Engine just turns over nice and fast but doesn't try to fire. Currently it's completely dead but this started about a week ago. Driving along and the car shut off for like 1/2 a second and turned back on it's self. kept driving, stopped at a friend's for an hour, came out and it wouldn't start. towed it to my shop and the next day it started and ran in the shop for an hour, just fine. shut it off. next morning started it just fine again and let it run for an hour, no problems. shut it off. next morning it wouldn't start and hasn't since. that was 3 days ago. It looks like there is two coils. One goes to the center of the dist. cap and the other is too the side of the top of the cap. Could they have both gone bad? or does only one actually supply spark to the cylinders? HELP Please!
Check the crank sensors. I believe that engine has 2, one in the front and one in the back. I think if you dropped a coil you would experience more sputtering than just a simply on/off.

Just replaced both Crank sensors and still have no spark!! Is there any sort of relay or fuse somewhere that would cut the power to the coils? It's just weird it started as an intermitent problem then suddenly blam! won't start. Any other ideas? What else can I test?
Thanks
Thanks
