Exclamation 94 XJ40 16" wheels - no Pirellis?

Hi, Found a set of new Pirelli P7 225/60R16 98w tires online, thought they would be a good replacement for my P6000's (same rating) - BUT - when I went to the Pirelli website and punched in my Jag year and model the website came up with "No PIRELLI tires of any type fit your vehicle" ...what's up with that? A web programmer's goof or the the real deal?

What the hell tires should I get??

Many choices in the 225/60x16 size. Very common size.

I find it hard to believe that Pirelli doesn't have at least a couple choices in that size.

Have you checked Tire Rack?

Cheers
DD

Oh sure Pirelli has tires in that size Doug, (very few 98w's though) but try punching in XJ's from 1994 and you'll get the same answer - "nothing we make fits your car"!!

Default Tires

Lawrence,
You are correct. When I checked the Pirelli site last fall same thing no tires for a 94 Jag. But if you look on the Tire Rack site they list 2 Pirelli tires for the 94 Jag. Doesn't make sense. I went with a cheaper tire (Kelly) with a lesser speed rating and they ride and handle fine. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on the tires until I got other issues with the car fixed so these tires were a good compromise.

Ok, went by Tire Rack as you both suggested and if I want to take out a mortgage I can get the P7's from them ...but thanks for the tip on their site, it looks like there are a few choices after all.
The set of P7's I found elsewhere on line ($600 for the 4) offers free shipping within the US so I might just have some shipped to my bro in Seattle and take a drive down and get them mounted down there. Thanks for the replies guys, one more quirky 94 XJ thing off my mind!!
