Default Any suggestions for a CD player for a '91 XJ40?

Mine has a cassette player but it's not looking very easy to find a CD changer to put in the trunk.

Series III XJ6/12, XJ-S, XJ40, X300 (95 to 97) all use the same Alpine manufactured CD changer (LXF4160CA), The V8 XJ/XK cars and X-Type and S-type use a different unit (NOT compatible)

Some Alpine units will work but I don't know the model number of the older units that are compatible.

I fitted an Alpine CHM-S630 CD player to my 1993 Sovereign. It works fine.

David

Thanks for the Alpine info. I have never installed one but I have seen them in the boot and they work fine.

Were you able to install it with the brackets that came with it? I had to have the Jaguar service install mine because the brackets weren't the right size. Thankfully they had an extra magazine too.

I installed it in the glove box, the bracket worked fine there.
