The Best XJ40 Color
We probably all agree that the XJ40 is an attractive car, but I was just wondering what color is the overall favorite, along with what color everyone drives.
I really like Signal Red, Kingfisher Blue (of course
) and black.
Anyone else?

Metallic black is my fave color besides that I love my XJ40's color .Chancing the color to a 98 VDP's was in my contemplation as well. However I decided to keep it as it is .It's dark blue
I can recall the "official" Jaguar name for it, but there was a champaigne color on the 94 models that was just gorgeous. Especially, on the XJ12's with the 20 spoke wheels.
You make me wanna la la
Well, I mean you make me send a pic of my XJ40 [8D]

Ahem... There is only one color for the XJ6's as evidenced by the fact most of them were painted that color, I'd have to vote for British Racing Green. Of course I'm biased as my old cat is BRG. The new sage green Jaguar color on the XK8 series would look really great on a XJ40 IMHO. BTW XJjag/jeep Our cats could be twins.

Not sure what colors are available for the XJs to actually vote on besides what was listed above, but I have to say of all the Jag colors available, I have to go in favoritism in this order...
1. Indigo Blue

2. Platinum Silver

3. Carnival Red

though the salsa red intrigues me...was it only available on the XK8/r coupes?

i must say that the Carnival Red that was mentioned is a pretty sexy color...haha. It was a toss up in my XJR choices between black, white, or CR. The XJRsin my opinion just dont look good in BRG, least not the XJR6s the green doesnt seem as dark as mine.
I like the Flamenco Red of our '93 VDP. I retrofitted quad headlamps from a '92 and swapped the Roulette wheels out for 16 inch "Dimple" wheels from an X300.
And no, that's not my personal garage in the background, it's Nashville's full-size replica of the Parthenon!

That is SUCH a pretty car, Don.
I really didn't have a choice of color when I purchased my XJ40 from a good friend, now deceased. It is Solent Blue. At the time I probably would have chosen British Racing Green; but since I have now have one of those as well, I have to say I have come to prefer the blue. Very classy. A while back I had another XJ40 that was that very light sage-y green. That was also very handsome.
Perhaps the better question is, are any of the colors bad?? Doesn't seem like it!
