So today on my way back from Great Lakes Naval base my XJ6 blew a coolant hose. Luckily it was close to Fort Sheridan when it let go and I was able to pull into the motor pool. So there in the shop next to hummers and LMTV's was my little Jag.

Of course my motor sergeant rode his bike today so we took a old beat up cuc-v (77 Chevy diesel pickup) over to the Jag dealer in Palentine to pick up a new hose. So in front of this Jag dealer was this ragged out army truck. That at one point started rolling across the parking lot towards a line of brand new Jags. Got the hose thankfully after waiting 20 min for the parts guy. It took him so long I decided against getting the coffee mug that I wanted.

Got the hose replaced and back to happy Jag motoring and off to get some new rims for the old girl on Sunday then drive her for a few more days before she is washed waxed and covered in the garage... For a year

 

Was it that leather to go coffee mug? I bought one of those for my old man, and it was kind of a dissapointment. So maybe not the way to go anyway.
Good thing there wasn't an accident or it could be an international incident. Glad that everything worked out though

 

No it was the tall black mug with the old school Jaguar emblem on it.

Yea I'm glad we caught the old rust bucket before it hit the XK-R that would have been very hard to explain to the Commander
