or is there someting that i can look for first?

Hi, When you say the brake warnng light is on, which one do you mean?
Press the VCM button to view the message.
Basic Test for boost pressure.
Engine off.
Press brake pedal 4 to 5 times to lose the vacuum.
Hold pedal down and start engine.
You should feel the pedal give a little.
Release pedal and let the car run for a few minutes.
Switch off.
Press pedal, you should hear a hiss type sound.
Repeat 1 above, the pedal should now be harder.
There are a couple of inline fuses above the Inertia switch (situated behind the left footwell kick panel).
Post up your findings.

question.....when I do the above directions and pump up the pedal, it appears pumped up pretty much already even before the car is started. Then with my foot on the brake pedal, I start the car and the pedal does not go down at all. I get "anti-lock failure" and "low brake pressure" on the VCM. Any clues?
