Default Broken Radiator

I did it, broke the molded fitting on the upper left radiator side tank for the expansion tank.
I have a repair that should work, any other ideas?
I will be looking for another radiator and I do not have a problem with modifying the cooling system
with something similar but a more common style/layout.
Thanks,

I think modifying the system would probably be more work and expense than just putting the right one back. can you be more specific about the break? Is it just the tab, or is the tank cracked too? If its just the tab, maybe a big washer would serve the purpose... How about a purpose made bracket to use the same bolt hole.

Hi Jerry, I broke off the nipple for the expansion tank hose. The damage appears to be "crystallization" of the plastic due to age, heat and mileage.
When I looked at the break the nipple it had a crystal-like look. Perhaps the broken nipple is a warning of things to come? I repaired it with one of the radiator-plastic tank repair kits available in the parts stores. I was able to buy a new radiator on Ebay yesterday and should have it this week.

Thanks,
Roger

The "Plastic Tank-Repair Kit" worked. This will give me time to schedule radiator replacement when it's more convenient.
