Bulb Failure Modules in an 88 XJ40

Bulb Failure Modules in an 88 XJ40

I have the common issue of a constant BULB FAILURE LIGHT in my dash, and I want to get rid of it. All of my bulbs are working so I ruled out a bad bulb already. Is there a Module delete that will help it? But first I need to find the exact location of these modules to see if I can repair them or delete them.Where are these modules located?Thanks guys!

in the '88 XJ-40 I don't know, but in my '84 XJ-6. they are located in the trunk/boot, behind the inner upholstery panel, where the ECU lives.

I am afraid you will have to check every bulb and make sure that they are seated properly and that all wiring is in tact. Before you reseat each bulb put a little WD-40 on the bulb end and seat. Don't forget to check out back-up light bulbs. Just remember, ant loose connection of bulb or wire will cause the warning. FYI there are some 20 plus bulbs on the exterior of your car
