Bulb Failure warning VDU
Hi, I have the age old issue of the bulb failure warning light coming on every time I use my brakes / indicators / lights are on. I have tried all the recommended things to stop this with no success. I am now at the point where I want to disconnect / cut the wires to make the problem disappear. Has anyone done this, if so could you please advise the process and which wires to remove or cut. Thank you in advance.
That bulb out indicator coming on when you apply the rake is due to the emergency brake isn't adjusted properly. The car thinks the emergency brake is in use, but not enough to show the emergency brake light. Try and pull the lever on the brake up and down and be sure it's fully released. There is a micro switch inside that emergency brake housing.
Mine hasn't burned out yet and it has been lit for 9 years!
Just imagine what it would be like if it was a bulb I actually wanted to be on.
Don't cut the wires, eventually you will simply not see it.

I had a similar problem. I had a bad fog light assy and until I had the chance to fix it I just pulled the knee bolster ect and pulled the bulb out. One I fixed the fog light I popped it back in.
