Default CD Player

Hi

Picked up a Jaguar XJ6 CD player and tried fixing it in, but can't get it to work.

Guy said it was from a 1994 Jaguar and mine is 1996, so he was a XJ40 I assume and mine is a X300.

Are the two compatible?

Look forward to your help

Spencer

I'm pretty sure all CD changers are compatible from the 1980's to 1997.
The Series III Sedan, XJS, XJ40 and X300 all have the same plugs.

Some Alpine units will also plug in and operate if the Radio Head unit has NOT had the update software from Jaguar. This only for the X300 radios so the early ones are unaffected. (TSB 15-41)
