Default central,locking

Cra ahs sat for a couple weeks, in some heavy rain unfortunately but thats by the by, come back and central locking gives a "click" and the lights flash but no locks are activted, either locking or unlocking? Where should I start here? The front passenger seemed to be already open so I got in....drivers door opened by hand now and engine starts but she wont lock/unlock.

Are you using a key or a remote?
It could be that the latches themselves have stiffened with the moisture. Do you use the back doors very often? I would try working them manually to see if they seem hard to move. If so then it may be time to spray some penetrant or lithium grease on them from inside. Good luck.

Thanks Jerry....ran through a few threads on jag lovers...a few of them mentioned locks out of sync, and re setting. So I opened the bonnet...manually locked everything, disconnected the battery for ten seconds, re connected (battery terminal wasnt great gave that a wipe down) and then tried the remote...all good!

Very glad that you were able to sort this out yourself and without real headache.

As an aside, I am finding the new email alerts with specific models and any issues people are currently experiencing phenomenally useful. Anything like this may be a roadmap for any future issues I might experience.

I did fully charge the battery as well as it had run down over a couple of weeks. That tends to happen .
