Default Clunk on Passenger Side Over Bumps. Shock Bushing?

I've had a bit of a clunking noise on the passenger side of the car when going over bumps or deep expansion joints in the road. Usually only at higher speeds. I thought the sound was coming from the passenger side rear of the car.

I checked the front suspension when I did some maintenance, and I saw the upper front shock bumper is toast. It was so bad that the bellows had fallen down to the bottom of the shock. The driver's side looks okay.

How are these to change? Would this give a clunking over bumps? Would bushings also cause this?

Thanks,
Nick

I changed mine this summer. It wasnt bad at all using a spring compressor of course. Go for it.

Yes, it would cause that sound. Those rubber bushings need replacing, they are also under the hood where the bolts attach.

As Jerry posted above, with a spring compressor it's not bad. Using strength, requires a lot of strength, and you have to be quick. If you can compress that with one hand and put the bushings on with the other? You should play in the NFL.
