Default Daimler parts for sovereign xj40?

hey guys! Long time no post.
My lovely partner bought me a Daimler (87) as a donor car for my sovereign (89). On visual it looks like nearly everything is interchangeable so it's a perfect donor, and if I remember correctly the engines are the same, but can anyone share their wisdom on where they differ other than the obvious trim bits and pieces? If they even do? I really don't know much about the Daimler xj.
thanks all!

As long as the 89 is a 3.6 model too, nearly everything is the same.
there’s only the odd few electrical connectors that differ, screen washer jets. Maybe the front seat mounts, depending on your exact VIN range.
essentially you are good to go.
obviously the donor has fish tank lamps though, because of the different spec.

Thanks so much! My sov had fish tanks too, I was naughty and converted them. But all good, thanks for confirming for me

That’s fine. Is the donor a 3.6 too? In 1989 the engines changed from 3.6 to 4.0 at VIN 594575.
a number of other changes happened at this today, like the entire brake system, digital dash to analogue dash. Etc
