Dashboard and console removal

hi: I'll try to do this from memory. It sounds like you have already removed the leather shifter surround (be mindful not to break the 3 retaining tabs holding the leather surround to the shifter block), the ashtray assembly, the 2 nylon wing nuts on the underside of the ski slope, the ski slope, the climate control/radio. You need to remove the chromed guide bar from the underside of the padded armrest, the two armrest screws that connect it to the console, 3 screws at the bottom of the center console storage bin. Now you should be able to remove the inner box of the console. This should allow you access to the six (I believe) hold-down nuts for the center console. There will be electrical connectors that will need disconnecting along the way. Now the dash board is very involved. You would need to purchase a service manual for this. I paid about $15 for all the manuals on a cd disc. Hope I gave you a head start. Good luck and don't get impatient and pull/tug too much as that's usually an indicator that there is a hidden nut/screw somewhere.

Since an accurate reply requires knowing the year and model of your Jaguar, could you please provide us with those details?
Cheers,
Don
