Default Driving without Power Steering

Something happened to my A/C compressor that it basically exploded and cut of my power steering hoses. Not literally exploded, but seems it broke apart and there's some metal parts extended, that reached over to that hose and cut it off. Immediately all my fluid drained and I continued to drive home (I was half way, so I had about another hour to go). So how bad is it driving without it? I understand its difficult, specially at low speeds, and maybe even dangerous. I am more concerned with the car, will I burn up something? Break? Damage? etc? I do not plan to drive it like this for a long time, at the very most by next week, which would include driving 2hrs back home to get to the repair shop.

On another note, is the power steering reservoir under pressure? When following the damaged hose, I mixed it up with one of the hoses that attaches to the reservoir. In an attempt to remove it, I broke off the plastic part that goes into the hose. Found out this reservoir is pricey, so though about properly attaching it back with epoxy. Is this a good idea? It's already 100 bucks for the hose (it's the low pressure hose going to the rack), and the reservoir is up there too, unless I get it used, like this one.

Driving with no PS fluid will wreck your PS pump and rack and will cost you a whole fortune more than just renting a car for a week.

There is no pressure in the reservoir, but you would better to buy an another one. It will be **** when lose the fluid again at the epoxy attachment.
