Default fuse for dash, fuse for turn signal, fuse for interior lights

I have my 1987 XJ6 running, however the turn signals don't work, the dash does not light up and the interior lights do not come on when the doors are opened. Which fuse or fuses protect those circuits.

And, where can I get the correct type fuses? I just had to put in standard fuses from the auto parts place.

The identification for each circuit fuse is listed on a label on the back side of the fusebox cover door. If yours are missing, I can list them for you.

You can probably order the correct Lucas fuses from forum sponsor Motorcars Ltd. As long as you can find generic fuses of the correct amperage range and length, you won't be hurting anything to use them.

For the turn signal problem, try flipping the hazard switch on the left side of the steering column cowl a few times. If the switch feels broken, that's because it is, and the directional indicators are wired through it and may be inoperative as a result.

The dash light rheostat (dimmer) is on the dash next to your trip computer. These fail too, but you might get some instrument lighting if you turn this back and forth a few times. You can always get full ilumination by bypassing the rheostat at the connections on the rear.

The fuse for the interior lights is in the smaller fusebox behind the right side underdash panel.
This fuse will blow if your antenna motor is bad, so disconnect the antenna and feed it another fuse if the first replacement blows.
