Ground Problem? 1993 XJ6
I bought this car back in 2002. The year prior to buying it the car sat for a year. It had 52000 miles on it and the check engine light came on. O2 sensor lol Anyway when I first started driving it the climate control, radio, and power seats did not work sometimes. It would not all come on when the car was started or shortly after. Sometimes it took a couple of minutes and other the whole time I was driving they never came on. The guy I bought it off of said it was a bad relay and because it was sitting is the reason why it was happening. He said drive it and everything will start working again. He was right it all started working and I never had another problem with it until now. For some reason this car is having a mid life crisis. So I called Jaguar Service and asked where that relay was located so I can change it and I was informed a relay does not control all them units, that it is a harness wiring problem or possibility a bad ground somewhere. Is there a common ground for all of them units? If so where is it located? Does anyone know what could be causing this problem? I am wondering that if I keep driving it will it fix itself again? Thank you guys for helping me with my car.
