Default How many 94 Vanden plas's were built?

Just wondering what the likelihood of finding a decent 94 Vanden Plas would be?
Thanks,
Mike

Appendix C of "You and Your XJ40" lists 457 3.2 Daimlers (although I'm not sure that any of those were exported to the US) and 462 4.0's. My understanding is the cars badged "Daimler" in the UK were badged VDP in the US. Then, how many of those were imported, I have no idea. I've got one of them, though. I found it last summer with 118K miles and it's in pretty good shape, despite having lived it's life in the Midwest.

I think it's doable. And I will say, the VDP trim is really nice compared to the standard models; although I love the standard ones as well. But as I think we're all aware of the rule of thumb: the best Jaguar is the nicest one for the money regardless of trim...

Cheers!

Mike,

Last night I was searching for parts and decided to try a site that I hadn't thought about for a long time.... Craigslist. Didn't find what I wanted, but was I surprised at the amount of Jaguars listed in various cites, like this one near you:

1994 Jaguar XJ6 LOW MILES

It's not a VP, but it'r really clean, interior looks outstanding, I'm not a fan of the British Green though.

Anyway, check out Craigslist for the cities near you like Milwaukee and Madison. Use the "Control F" function so you don't have to wade through every entry.

Good luck

That's a really good find, Rob. Actually, I remember seeing that car listed some time ago. It looks as if the seller is really waiting to get his price, which is, methinks, optimistic. Problem is, these cars don't have that much 'blue book' value. But, this car may indeed be worth every penny. Where else are you going to find that much car, with those low miles, and that much luxury, for that much money?
