Leaping cat hood ornament
Itīs there on the ī93 XJ40 Sovereign guiding me down the road and giving the hood that unique Jaguar feel.
My 1992 XJ40 Sovereign doesnīt come with it. Any thoughts about adding one to the hood? Too much of a mess to get a body shop to punch holes in a perfectly good hood??

I do use 7" spring leaper , it really makes almost a night & day difference if you compare it over 5" one .
Installing took a bit hard job but I speak for mine . I was told that they removed the grill to make the things easier but bear in mind my hood emblem was being replaced at the same time too .

do you know how to do it?
I've got a 1992 XJ6, and wanted to put the leaper on. However, just before I started punching the hole, I noticed that the hood is much thicker than the length of the leaper's screw. Am I doing something wrong? do you know if there is something else that I should remove?
