Leaping cat hood ornament
It´s there on the ´93 XJ40 Sovereign guiding me down the road and giving the hood that unique Jaguar feel.
My 1992 XJ40 Sovereign doesn´t come with it. Any thoughts about adding one to the hood? Too much of a mess to get a body shop to punch holes in a perfectly good hood??

I do use 7" spring leaper , it really makes almost a night & day difference if you compare it over 5" one .
Installing took a bit hard job but I speak for mine . I was told that they removed the grill to make the things easier but bear in mind my hood emblem was being replaced at the same time too .

do you know how to do it?
I've got a 1992 XJ6, and wanted to put the leaper on. However, just before I started punching the hole, I noticed that the hood is much thicker than the length of the leaper's screw. Am I doing something wrong? do you know if there is something else that I should remove?
