Default Looking at a Vanden Plas tonight - What to look for?

Hey everyone,
I'm not super active on these forums, but typically spend my time in the Series 1, 2, and 3 XJ forum. I have a '73 I'm rebuilding and an '85 I'm using for some parts. An XJ40 (1989 XJ Vanden Plas) popped up last night online near me for $900, and I just so happen to be looking for another daily driver (for my wife). Problem is, they claim it's running and driving, the body and interior look good in the pictures, and it generally looks like a good deal. That's about half the cost of the cheaper ones in my area (side note, there's a nice RHD Euro one on my local craigslist). I don't need another project but don't want to pass this thing up for such a cheap price. Anything specifically I should look out for? I don't mind doing work here and there but if these have any issues that could turn into high dollar problems, I'd like to know BEFORE I buy it. Any input would be great, as I'm set to head out and see it in a few hours. Thanks!

Hopefully there was nothing to look out for because I bought it. Has a slight miss it seems but I'll go through it tomorrow and see where my issues are. I'll also post some pictures of it once I get it cleaned up. I'm pretty excited about it as most of the car is in great shape!
