Default Hello, Looking for 87 vanden plas parts

Hi everyone.

I have an 1987 xj12 vanden plas. I am looking for new wood for the interior, the peices in my car are cracked and flaking. im looking for other parts too but this is the first major part i need. I may need a new headliner. the fabric is letting go of the support on the roof...

I just finished waxing it using turtle wax ice, AMAZING shine. I will have pics soon....I love jaguars and im going to be getting an 2005 or newer XJR as well.

Try EverydayXJ.com. David Boger is a member of this site, and has lots of parts for Series III Jags, very resonable prices. May even have the wood dash parts. Normally the cracking and peeling on the wood is only the clearcoat. If you can do woodwork, then its not all that difficult. There are tons of posts concerning reconditioning woodwork on these cars. Contact me with PM and I'll give you some of the sites that cover it. There are also many sites that sell new wood for these cars also. Google search Jaguar wood. Also British Auto Wood, Jagbreakers.org, just to mention a couple. Headlinings are a common fault on these cars. Just about any auto upholster shop can do it, or I'll give you a good site to do it yourself. With the Series III cars, might as well get used to doing things youself, you'll learn to love them, have pride in doing it yourself, and save tons of money over the years. Keith.
