Yes I was shocked also, felt like a dead battery but windows parking light work and battery fully recharged. When I turn the ignition key on to start nothing not a sound from the starter, dash gauges don't work parking lights work also normal brightness the battery cables are in perfect shape no corrosion. Can you help Thank You

Ran it out of gas? Not trying to be sarcastic, perhaps the gauge isn't as accurate as you'd like (and you didn't mention you checked the fuel level, or added some)

Definitely check all main power leads also. I don't get around too much over in this area though. grain of salt and all that...

 

Any messages on the VCM? And in your surprise, you did remember to stick it in park or neutral before trying to restart?
