My first Sovereign will be parted out
I took the decision to have my 1992 4.0l Sovereign dismantled/scrapped/parted out (don't exactly know the right wording for nomore driving her).
The car was running well (still true but a few months in a car park) but I can't afford to maintain her in good and running state.
Around 200 k kms.
Location of the car is Brittany France (a very pleasant area to make tourism!)
In case some of you - Jag lovers - have needs, the parts will be available; I will probably keep some for the Daimler, like headlamps.
Cheers

Hi CHELMI,
I understand that maintaining the car may not make financial sense to you, but since it runs, is it possible you could find a buyer who was interested in driving and maintaining it? 200K kms / 124K miles seems low, considering how many XJ40s have done more than 325K kms / 200K miles.
You might make more money parting it out but that will take time, possibly months, and another Jaguar will be gone forever.
Cheers,
Don
