No start & rant
This is more of a rant post than a request for help...
I went out to the Jag to do some work. Went to start it and the battery is flat. Booo! Yesterday, I put in a missing 7.5 amp fuse the the passenger footwell fusebox and didn't think anything of it. Now I know why it wasn't there to start with... I have a small electrical leak on that circuit. Bah! I jump started the car from another good battery without any issues and pulled it into my driveway. Hooked up a battery charger and left it for a while...
In the meanwhile, I started out to swap the headlights out as they were in poor shape and cracked. Whomever designed the headlights in this car need a swift kick in the ***!! Take out some screws from above, with the hood in the way. Take some screws out of the grill. Take out some bolts behind the grill. Loosen some screws above, below and in the grill... Finally I can get at the sealed beams and swap them. Then I reverse the process of getting at the headlights and I finally finish. Yay! Something accomplished today!
I disconnected the battery charger. It had been connected for a few hours. The car cranks over great, but absolutely no signs of life. It seems like it's not firing any of the spark plugs. ARGH!!! I don't want to think that one thing failed while I was fixing something totally unrelated.
I assume that a low battery can cause this type of issue? I will leave the battery charger on for a while longer (at 6amps charge rate) and see if I have any better luck later.
Assuming that it still doesn't start after a few more hours charging, what should I do next?

Walked away from it for a bit... saw a post about "whacking the gas tank" to get the car to start. Gave it a try and the car started up. Not sure if I fixed something, or it just might have been flooded - I held my foot to the floor while starting. At least it's going again!
