Overheating
Hi guys
I am experiencing strange problem with my xj40 (89). Normally in cold weather runs without any trouble.
In hot weather runs about 20Km and then engine stop responding to the gas pedal and dying.
Water temperature is OK below 90 degr and no boiling or anything. after 10minuts of waiting engine starts and I can drive next
5km and so on. During waiting I can not start engine. Fuel preasure gauge i have on my rail mounted permanently showing me preasure OK.
I suspect one of sensors giving up when hot.
Does anybody know a common heat failure for any sensor in xj40 models?
Heated up computer, air temperature sensor by heat gun to simulate failure in my garage but no efect.
