Resetting ECU
#2
Richcurt:
Surprised no one responded to this yet. The "ECU" - by which I take you to mean the vehicles computer holding the trouble codes (sometimes we also call the VCM - Vehicle Control Monitor) can be reset by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for about a minute or so. Note: You will need to know your radio's security code before so doing, so that you can reset that once the power is shut off. I think there is supposed to be a way to reset the computer with a fuse, but I've never learned how.
Cheers! Scott

You just have to remove the INSTPAK fuse in the center console (fuse panel #3 somewher near the middle of the row of fuses) with key ON and watch the speedo/tach for the needles to drop below zero and that clears the first code (highest priority). If there are more codes they will be displayed and they are cleared the same way until they are all erased or there is a HARD FAULT and it WILL NOT BE CLEARED no matter how many times you try. Then you have to actually repair the vehicle before it will clear.
