Is anyone here familiar with mounting a roof rack onto a 1994 Jaguar XJ6 to hold a bicycle or two?
If anyone here has such a rack, could you share the brand and if possible part numbers for the attachment points?
I don't have a specific roof rack recommendation but I own a trunk/bumper Thule that I use on my '91 Sovereign. I am very, very pleased with its engineering. Thule does market roof racks. Have you considered a hidden bumper hitch combined with a bike rack. I used this set-up for years on another XJ40 and I loved it. Very convenient. The "hidden" hitch receptacle way only 11/2" square and I felt it was hardly noticeable when not in use. Yup, I know I am speaking blasphemy to many Jag owners but it was great system. Good luck.

I have an aero road mike with a frame that won't work on standard trunk or hitch racks where the bike is supported by hanging from the top tube.
Roof racks usually hold the bicycle by the front fork dropouts and the rear wheel fitting into a trough. So this is the type of attachment I am searching for.
I saw an XJ40 with a Thule roof rack and bicycle on it years ago at a car show. I don't recall the details other than it was a Thule. You may want to contact the company and see what they can offer.
Jaguar did offer roof racks and bicycle holders although I'm sure they're hard to find now. I've tried to attach the part numbers from the XJ6 & XJ12 epc page. You may want to post a wanted ad in the various Jaguar forums. Or set up an alert on EBay.
