1993 XJ40 with TSB 18-36 installed. Violet relay went out, installed "cheap" 5 pin relay and Diode burned out on the LMB3998AA link lead. I installed better/correct relay, but have FF-12 ( as expected from the TSB). Can't seem to find a pre-made link lead kit. What is the value of the diodes?

I'm guessing any 1N4004 with a same size or larger diameter body (2 amp/4 amp?) will work fine?
