Hi all.I hope everyone is well. I have a bizarre issue that the speedo on my recently purchased XJ6 4.0L doesnt work unless there has been some heavy rain or I have had the car washed by the Polish guys up the road. This also affects the trip computer etc. Any Ideas?Also, as they may be related, The orange ABS light is permanently on on the dash, it doesnt come on after I start moving, its on all the time. I dont think the ABS is working as I have emergency braked and locked the wheels up.I have had all four wheel sensors out, cleaned and put back but no difference, also cleaned up the connections on the ABS ECU in the boot as there was a bit of corrosion on one connector. However, I have found that the front wheel sensors have been "manually" given an earth connection screwed through the inside of the wheel arch, could this be a problem?I have some other troubles but I wont bombard you all with them all at once.Any advice is greatly appreciated.
