Taillights and interior dimmer not working
Hey everyone,
Long story short: I blew out the light control panel while installing fog lights into my 1988 Vanden Plas. I ordered a new one (I think off of an 88 or 89 model), plugged it in, and everything seemed to be fine until I found out that my tail lights and interior lights (instrument panel, backlit buttons, etc.) were not working. I am using the rear fog lights as my taillights and it seems to be okay but I am wondering if there is a way to fix this. The dimmer dial on the steering column does nothing even when my headlights are in the on position. I know these cars are notorious for electrical gremlins but is there any solution to my problem or am I just going to have to cut my losses without spending thousands on new wiring?
Thanks in advance!
Will
