Buy a 30 year old XJ40 and move to the rain forest, it'll be fun!
Finally found the active trunk drip coming from the body seam inside the trunk. Totally baffled where and how rain water gets inside that seam. It wraps around the trunk up to the wheel wells. The fuel filler rubber seal is good, the antenna grommet is new (silly me to think it would be that easy). Removed and examined the tail light assy, no ingress there, good gasket. There's nothing left unless the otherwise good boot seal is somehow funneling water to some unknown ingress. I'm stumped.
