I am actually working on a '90 XJ-S but have access to a '94 XJ6 and XJ12 as donor cars. I need to go out in field and find the Teves III ABS ECU, and more importantly, the red diode that is in the ABS harness about 6" from the ECU (in my XJ-S). the diode i am looking for is inline between the ECU, the Main Relay and the ABS Warning light. Can anyone help me with this?

 

Hi Greg,

On the '94 XJ6 and XJ12 ABS ECUs are mounted above the left rear inner wheel well, behind the carpeted trunk liner. I don't know about the inline diode, but I'm attaching the ABS pages from the Electrical Guide in case they may help.

Don, thanks for info and the ABS pages. I said that both of the donor cars were '94 MY but I was wrong, one is a '92. This is good as the I think the ABS system changed somewhat between '92 and '93/'94. It appears that the '93/'94 does not have this diode, but i think the '90/'92 may. Do you possibly have the same ABS pages for this MY? If so it will be greatly appreciated - thanks.

The closest I have is the 1991 manual, so I'm attaching the ABS pages (I'd send the entire manuals but their size exceeds the forum limits).

Let me know if the '91 is relevant. If not, we'll have to look for a source for the '92 manual.

This appears to show the diode - LSD10, which is not used in the '93/'94 system. Now i just have to find it. It may actually be in the engine bay, left side. Thanks.
