wheres the water getting in???
i have water getting into the passenger footwell of my XJ40, drive it in the wet and it stays dry, clean it with a jetwash and it stays dry, let it sit out on a rainy day and you can ring out the floor carpet afterwards...
Can anyone point me in the right direction with my silicone sealant please???

I had a similar problem but on the driver's foot well. I apologize in advance, that the details are vague and this occurred a while back and don't remember all of it.
If you remove the windshield finisher (black plastic where the windshield jets are at that's held by four screws), you'll notice a channel that's meant to run off water that drips down from the windshield. I don't recall exactly, but if this channel, it might of been a tube, is clogged then water cannot be drained off the side of the car. Therefore is floods, and water somehow makes its way inside the car. It was my local Jag mechanic that told me this, and showed me all the mud and dry leaves that had accumulated over the years. I failed to ask him to show me how exactly.
Hope this helps.

This is an easy fix and common to jaguars. As the other person posted there is a thick black tube under the wiper guard. You can see it from inside the engine compartment with the hood up on the drivers side near the firewall. This lube tapers at the end and tends to get clogged with leaves etc. If you can reach it just squeeze it and usually it will empty. if it's really clogged you may have to stick a coat hanger or something through it from the top. Clear out this tube and your car will be dry!! Good luck! -Jodie2025

The part your looking for as I ripped it off and threw it away today is a rubber duck bill looking thing on the bottom of the wiper motor box. You can see it on the drivers side of the engine bay clearly once you know what to look for. You don't have to remove anything to pull it off and clean or throw away.
I would recommend pulling the cowl cover though and cleaning out any junk thats in there though.
