Will not start sometimes
1993 3.2 XJ40 will not start, It wwill not even turn over which might suggest a confused security system or a fault with a relay, anyone know where to start troubleshooting the security and starting systems?

Load check the battery. The battery may have plenty of voltage but no amperage to turn the starter. Yank it and run it down to the local auto parts house. Next, with the headlamps arm check the they dim when you try to start. If they don't dim, the electronics on the ignition switch may be bad. These are just some easy, armchair ways to get started.
