vehicle 1993 xj6 57000 miles windshield washer doesnt work motor ok all fuses are new all relays seem to be working not getting power to the unit also right rear directional and right rear stop light not working fuses and relays ok also right rear fog lamp in bumper not working (left does) have checked and traced wires and havnt been able to find any thing wrong,(have spare relays) this car had been sitting for quite a long period (over 2yrs) had a lot of moisture inside when i got it so i had to clean all the fuse connections so those are all good i hope someone out ther can point me in the right direction thanks in advance

Squinting with one eye closed, it hurts less in 'mono'.

Have you checked/replaced the fuses in the center fuse box?

Do your headlight washers work? They only come on when the lights are on. (same relay as screen washer).

Have you checked the bulbs?

Did you disconnect/clean and reconnect the wires to the lighting units?

 

yes i have cleand all connections,and replaced all fuses with new ones,also have used new bulbs and have swapped them with the ones on the left side (the bulbs worked on the left side).I also tried another relay for the tail light that works and it didnt cure my problem.as to the windshield washer the headlight washer also doesnt work but the pump doeswhen jumped with live wire to power side and ground to ground. thanks for your reply Lumppy
