Default Wiper length

Hi all,

I just replaced the wiper and went with a 19".

The parts store said the computer parts list calls for a 21" - seemed a bit long to me ...out of curiosity, what size do you run?

(had to resist writing "how big is yours")

Cheers

Larry

I just replaced mine with a 21" (Was also told that was the correct size from the parts look up)

No clearance or overlap issues

Fair enough, I chickened out. Had a noisy wiper all winter that really bugged me.

21" next time then!

The OE arm on our '88 used 20 inch refills but the one on our '93 used 21 inch. I can't recall when Jaguar made the change, but the later arms are revised to center the longer blade on the windshield.

The X300 and X308 also use the same 21 inch blades.

Tail of my "old" one occasionally bumped the bottom passenger side rubber but I'm guessing that must have been because I'm "out" a spline or two - anyway, the 19" is fine for now and gives me plenty of clear vision.

Next time I take the arm off I'll go clockwise a notch
