Hi everyone

Today's question is the location of the engine earth strap?

I did a quick inspection on a 3.2l xj40 today and did not see one. Tomorrow when there is more light outside, I am going to check underneath when a hoist is free too. There could be a chance it is mounted from the transmission.

Just checking with the more experienced beforehand.
Where should they be ?
If there is only one ?
What condition should they be in ?

The car is a 1992 xj40 [XJ6]

 

It's braided and down low by the starter

Have put in a generic replacement and it works well.
